Béatrice Dalle

Béatrice Dalle, born on December 19, 1964, in Brest as Béatrice Françoise Odona Cabarrou, grew up in Le Mans. A rebellious teen, she abandoned her life at 15, moving to Paris to embrace the punk scene and model for Photo magazine. Her untamed allure garnered attention, propelling her to fame with the role of Betty in Jean-Jacques Beineix’s 1986 film “37°2 le matin” alongside Jean-Hugues Anglade. Riding the wave of success, she enjoyed the privilege of selecting directors based on their strong personalities, seldom bothering to read scripts.

Known for her impulsive tendencies, Béatrice Dalle encountered legal issues in 1998, facing charges for assaulting a police officer and, in the U.S., for cocaine possession. In her love life, following a three-year marriage to painter Jean-François Dalle, she retained his surname and gravitated toward unconventional relationships. A decade-long romance with Joey Starr preceded her 2005 marriage to Guénaël Meziani, a prisoner she met during volunteer work in prison. She initiated divorce proceedings in early 2013. In a March 2020 interview with Le Monde, she revealed plans for her third marriage, which would be her first church wedding.
