Pop Iconic
Pop Iconic
A lively collection featuring vibrant colors reminiscent of pop art tones offers a refreshing take on religious icons. Traditional norms are subverted, and provocation takes center stage. In "Pop Iconic," Leonardo da Vinci's Salvator Mundi is depicted with a twist, influenced by his vices and accompanied by female counterparts. Jesus takes on the role of a modern-day prophet in Miami, embracing his body and spreading his message in the digital age.
This series serves as a mini-series that delves into new dogmas and contemporary role models, exploring the fusion of traditional religious imagery with elements of pop art. Through playful reinterpretations and bold aesthetics, "Pop Iconic" challenges conventions and invites viewers to reconsider the icons of our time.
