The Purity collection offers a simple and clean view of it. Almost drawn… Almost vaporous… An angelic air. Here is the spirit of this collection made without retouching, without artifice that places the models above all the distractions of everyday life, losing even perspective and gravity.

The Purity collection was created between 2018 and 2019 in black and white genre. The spectator seems to be enclosed in a space, with no time and place, nothing comes across to disrupt the holy contemplation of the lines, barely drawn by human bodies. This collection offers a simple and clear view. We can almost perceive the angelic air emanating from the photographs. The spirit of the collection was to create something without retouching, without artifice in order to place the models above all the distractions of everyday life, abandoning even the perspective and sense of gravity.

Purity is the 11th collection of “Who’s That Nude in the Living Room?” art project which aims to constitute the largest photographic series ever made representing humanity as it is, in its most natural state, its nudity and its diversity. this concept of photographic art aims to bring together thousands of models, volunteers of all ages and from all social categories to constitute a huge gallery of portraits of men and women of today. These photographs, in their multitude and the originality of each one of them, their dynamism and their naturalness, show to universal human beauty, far beyond the restrictive socio-cultural and aesthetic criteria of our time.

Purity: The transcription of single-line drawing into photography

Purity is a collection of the project “Who’s That Nude In The Living Room?”, a collection that respects the same principles as the others of the project. Namely, models who have never posed before (neither in photos, nor naked), they are not casted (everyone can come from the age of 18), and who come for a photo session, where we will keep only one photograph of each individual. There is no retouching, these are authentic photographs of each individual, they are meant to be made into works of art up to very large formats which are 80 x 120 cm, and to be exhibited, in exhibitions, as well as in private homes.

The Purity collection aims to show that the nude was not necessarily demonized, dirty, as we see a lot in our society, but that it can be a very angelic nude, very close to the authenticity of the human race, from its natural state. The artist wanted to show a vision of the nude, as healthy as possible, which was the opposite of the pornographic vision of things, even the erotic vision. The white background highlights the most angelic side possible. It’s something very simple, very refined, almost something that would make you think of the divine or beyond. This simplicity makes it possible to underline the model, to have this very refined side, to also underline the clean side and the virtuous side of each individual. This idea, close to drawing, of having a body so exposed that we only had the main lines left, aims to express simplicity, the very refined and very authentic side.
